Perfect Timing

I had a great time photographing a 36 weeks pregnant Mom last Sunday.  It’s a good thing we did the shoot when we did because today when I dropped off the CD she was already having some contractions.  If we had waited until this weekend we might have missed it. 

I think if she delivers today it will be perfect timing.  Last night they went on their “last date before baby”.  It’s a beautiful and great day to give birth!  I’m reminded of the introductions of my own kids to our family.  The two I gave birth to and the two we adopted all came on perfect days. 

God’s timing is divine even though I struggle with the wait.  Most of the time I find my self wishing  things would happen on my approved time frame.   I rarely see how perfect His timing is until after the fact.  The season of waiting is uncomfortable, but it’s always best.

A Time for Everything

 ¹ There is a time for everything,
   and a season for every activity under the heavens:

Lord Jesus, teach me to wait on you and trust in your perfect timing.  Amen.
