The Wonder Of A Child

Last night I found myself wondering why Andrew threw up after church  right before Greg could get him through the crowd to the bathroom.  I wondered why Emma wet her bed, and  Owen woke up crying every hour.  Children are a wonder.  At one point while holding  Owen I thought to myself  in an agitated voice, “Good Lord Child!”   Immediately I heard the Lord say, “Yes…. I was.”

The Wonder of Christmas is this: God became a Man.

The definition of wonder is:  1 a : a cause of astonishment or admiration : marvel

God knows us fully because He fully experienced humanity.

Isaiah 9:6 (New International Version, ©2010)

6 For to us a child is born,
to us a son is given,
and the government will be on his shoulders.
And he will be called
   Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God,
   Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.

Prayer:  Thank you Jesus that you understand me because you experienced life as a flesh and blood human.  There is nothing I face that you can’t relate to.
